Don’t Stop Believin’ Hold On To That Feelin’ – Bobby Whataman Jackson

Don’t Stop Believin’ Hold On To That Feelin’

When I work, I usually have the radio playing to some 80’s station and quite frequently that Journey song comes on..and I do my best Steve Perry voice to belt out the high notes.  Well, let’s just say that even though I try I can’t sing that song near the range that he did.  But I do, the best that I can with what I got.

Reading the posts of a fellow internet marketer on Facebook this week, one in particular kind of hit me wrong.

Now, you have to develop a thick skin in this business, and being an Alpha dog can have it’s advantages.  I guess it’s just when a couple of Alpha dogs get together that there can be problems. :)

The post was along the lines of , “Hey, I’m a Top Affiliate,..Don’t come trying to recruit me into your business, unless your numbers are way better than mine”.

Well, it hit me as arrogant and lacking humbleness.

As a marketer in general, you have to know and believe that you are offering a benefit from the products and services that your are offering.  And one of the chief parts of it, and usually the main selling point is the relationship that you bring to the table.  It’s been said, “People buy from you, because they like you, and want to do business with you”.  And just like me singing, it’s not going to sound pretty to all of the people.  It just has to sound pretty to the right people, the ones that want to do business with me.

What I encourage you to do, is to “Don’t Stop Believin’ Hold On To That Feelin‘”, go through those doors that say “No Soliciting” because the sale is on the other side.  Work with what you got, they haven’t heard you sing your song. They have not seen your product or service, and better yet, they have not met you..the greatest part of the entire package.

That is truly the best offer and value that you are bringing,..

Here’s some lyrics for you to sing along to – Sing It Out Loud!

Now Go Be Awesome!

Don’t Stop Believin’ Hold On To That Feelin’

Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night.
Working hard to get my fill,
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice,
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to the feelin’
Streetlights people
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on
Streetlight people
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to the feelin’
Streetlights people
